How much do you know about miniature ball transfer bearings?

  • Failure reason

About 40% of the failures of ball micro bearings are caused by dust, dirt, debris pollution and corrosion. Pollution is usually caused by incorrect use and poor use environment. It also causes torque and noise problems. Micro bearing failure caused by environment and pollution can be prevented, and the cause of such failure can be determined through simple visual observation. As long as the use and installation are reasonable, the erosion of micro bearings is easy to avoid. The denudation is characterized by the indentation on the raceway of the micro bearing ring caused by impact load or incorrect installation. Denudation usually occurs at the yield pole of the loaded material. If it is installed incorrectly, so that a load crosses the micro bearing ring, it will also produce denudation. The pressure pit on the micro bearing ring will also produce noise, vibration and additional torque.

 


 

  • Note

  1.  Place the yoke on the end face of the host.
  2.  Insert the plug into the power socket with the control switch.
  3.  Check whether the grounding wire is in good condition, and test with a measuring pencil after being powered on.
  4.  Press the start button to power on the host.
  5.  Check that there is no voltage between yoke and ground.
  6.  Press the stop button to power off the host and stop heating.
  7.  According to different specifications of micro bearings or other workpieces, choose different yoke sleeves, and place the yoke on the top end face of the host, which should be consistent and flat.
  8.  When heating the micro bearing, insert the sensor into the 'sensing socket' and keep the sensor close to the heated workpiece.


 

  • Solution of overheating

Because the reasons for the heating of micro bearings are different, the solutions are also different. The following is the solution to the overheating of micro bearings:

  1. The so-called grease filling method is to regularly fill the working surface of the bearing with an appropriate amount of grease, which is a commonly used grease lubrication method.
  2. The oil cup method is to set a screw cap type oil cup or pressure oil cup on the bearing seat, rotate the screw cap regularly or inject grease with an oil gun. This is also a commonly used grease lubrication method.
  3. Pressure grease supply method, which relies on the grease pump for grease supply. At this time, the lubricating grease with good fluidity should be selected.
  4. Centralized grease supply method: the centralized grease supply method supplies grease to all deep groove ball bearings and other components at the same time through the grease pump. Similarly, at this time, the lubricating grease with good fluidity, oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance should be selected, which is also a pressure grease supply method.
