Characteristics:
- High-Precision Control: Utilizes a closed-loop control system (often with an encoder) to achieve precise closed-loop control over position, speed, and torque. It can correct deviations in real-time, fundamentally overcoming the “step loss” issue common in stepper motors.
- Excellent Speed Regulation Performance: Features high rated speeds (typically 2000-3000 RPM or higher) and a wide speed range, enabling stable operation under various conditions from low to high speeds.
- Strong Overload Capacity: Possesses high resistance to overloads, capable of withstanding load impacts several times (often up to three times) the rated torque. This makes it particularly suitable for applications requiring frequent rapid starts and stops.
- Outstanding Stability: Operates smoothly at low speeds without cogging; offers extremely fast dynamic response, with response times as short as milliseconds, allowing it to quickly follow changes in control commands.
- Good Reliability and Comfort: Generates relatively low heat and noise during operation. For mainstream AC servo motors, the use of permanent magnets and a brushless structure means no brush wear, resulting in minimal maintenance requirements and a long service life.
